Women in Construction Week: Breaking Barriers, Building the Future

From the ground up, women are shaping the construction, mining, and infrastructure sectors—bringing innovation, leadership, and new perspectives to industries historically dominated by men.

Yet, women still make up only 15% of the construction workforce*, and in trade roles, that number drops even further. Creating inclusive, diverse workplaces isn’t just about fairness—The evidence tells us it drives stronger collaboration, better decision-making, and improved project outcomes.

At Project Health Insight, we know that a high-performing industry is one where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Supporting women in construction means mentorship and sponsorship, leadership pathways, and safer, more inclusive job sites (and boardroom tables!).

This Women in Construction Week (March 3-9), we celebrated the contribution of all the women we work with across construction and recognising their impact to better project health and outcomes.
